ALGC Pavilion

This clinic is offered for anyone who is interested in getting involved in the discipline of Tactical Shotgun competition. Attendees should already be familiar with the fundamentals of firearms safety, and the operation of shotguns. If you don?t meet these requirements, but would still like to attend, please contact the program director.

The clinic will begin with a classroom session at the Pavilion. Safety, equipment, techniques, tactics and program rules will be discussed. Coffee will be provided. From there, we will move on to the range for live fire training.

Cost: $10.00, pre-registration is NOT required. ($5 Affiliate Member fee applies for non-members).

What to bring: Gun: A 12 or 20 ga. pump or semi-automatic shotgun, preferably short-barreled, with iron-sights. No rifled barrels. If the only thing you have is a long barreled hunting shotgun, that?s fine. Note: A short-stocked, ported 20 ga. shotgun will be available for use by ladies. Please contact the program director for details!!!

Ammo: A minimum of 100 rounds of birdshot. Cheap promotional loads are fine (#6 or larger birdshot please). A minimum of 10 rounds of buckshot. A minimum of 10 slugs. You will need some type of shell carrier or bandoleer. I recommend an across the chest bandoleer, but a waist bandoleer will work.

Hearing and eye protection is mandatory AT ALL TIMES when you are on the range. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Lunch and drinks will not be provided. We will be taking a short break at noon, to chow and set up the match that will start at 1:00 pm. Clinic attendees can shoot this match for an additional $5.
